About the Two-Wheeler Loan EMI Calculator

This works out the monthly EMI on a two-wheeler (bike or scooter) loan, based on the on-road price, your down payment, the interest rate and the loan tenure.

How it works

It subtracts your down payment from the on-road price to get the loan amount, then applies the standard reducing-balance EMI formula over the loan tenure to work out the fixed monthly instalment, total interest and total cost.

Assumptions and behaviour

  • Assumes a fixed interest rate for the full tenure.
  • The loan amount is the on-road price minus your down payment (floored at zero).
  • Models a standard reducing-balance loan, the usual method for two-wheeler loans in India.

Limitations

  • Doesn't include processing fees, insurance premiums, or RTO/registration charges sometimes bundled into the loan.
  • Not a loan pre-approval — actual EMI depends on your lender's exact terms and your credit profile.

Privacy

The calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions

Is this two-wheeler loan EMI calculator free?

Yes — free, no sign-up, no limits, runs in your browser.

What formula does it use?

The standard reducing-balance EMI formula: EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount (on-road price minus down payment), r is the monthly interest rate, and n is the number of monthly instalments.

Does a bigger down payment reduce my EMI?

Yes — a larger down payment reduces the loan amount, which lowers both your monthly EMI and the total interest you pay.

Does this include insurance or registration costs?

No, it only calculates principal and interest on the loan amount. Add insurance, RTO or accessory costs separately for your total on-road cost.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.
