How it works

You enter your information into the form, and the tool generates an A4 PDF in your browser using the jsPDF library. The text is rendered as real selectable text (not an image of a page), laid out in a simple, clean structure with clear section headings. Because the text is selectable, it copies and prints properly and can be read by the software employers use to scan applications.

Why selectable text matters (ATS)

Many employers run resumes through Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that read the text to search and filter candidates. A resume that's secretly an image, or built with heavy graphics, columns and tables, can confuse these systems and get your details mis-read. Because this builder outputs plain, selectable text in a single clean column, it's straightforward for an ATS to parse — which is exactly what you want at the first automated screening stage.

Assumptions and limitations

• Output is a single-column A4 PDF with selectable text — deliberately simple, which is ATS-friendly but not a heavily designed, multi-column template.
• Nothing is saved. Your details aren't stored between sessions and there's no account, so keep the PDF and your source text yourself.
