About the Excel to PDF converter
This tool reads an Excel workbook and lays out each sheet as a table in a PDF — useful for sharing a spreadsheet as a fixed, printable document without needing Excel installed.
How it works
Upload an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file. Every sheet in the workbook becomes a titled table in the PDF, with the first row of each sheet used as the table header. Choose portrait or landscape orientation, then download.
Assumptions and behaviour
- Each sheet becomes its own table, titled with the sheet name, and starts on a fresh page when it won't fit on the current one.
- The first row of each sheet is treated as the header row.
- Tables auto-paginate across multiple PDF pages if a sheet has many rows.
- Cell values are converted to plain text — cell colors, conditional formatting, charts and images embedded in the spreadsheet are not carried over.
- Column widths are sized automatically to fit the page.
Limitations
- No charts, images, cell fills/colors, or conditional formatting — text and table structure only.
- Very wide sheets (many columns) may shrink text significantly to fit the page — landscape orientation helps.
- Password-protected Excel files can't be processed.
Privacy
The file is converted entirely in your browser using SheetJS and jsPDF. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
