About the Word to PDF converter

This tool reads a .docx file's structure — headings, paragraphs, bullet and numbered lists, tables and images — and lays it out as a clean PDF, ready to share or print without needing Word installed.

How it works

Upload a .docx file. The tool parses its structure and rebuilds it in a PDF: headings and paragraphs flow with automatic page breaks, list items get bullets or numbers, tables are drawn as gridded tables, and images are embedded at a size that fits the page.

Assumptions and behaviour

  • Rebuilds document structure — headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, images — as clean PDF content rather than a pixel-perfect copy of the original page layout.
  • Inline character formatting within a paragraph (bold or italic on part of a sentence) is not preserved — only block-level structure (which paragraph is a heading, list item, etc.).
  • Uses a standard A4 page size and consistent margins regardless of the original document's page setup.
  • Images are embedded and scaled to fit the page width.

Limitations

  • Complex layouts — multi-column text, text boxes, headers/footers, tracked changes, embedded objects — are not reproduced.
  • Custom fonts, colors and precise spacing from the original document aren't carried over; output uses a standard PDF font.
  • Password-protected .docx files can't be processed.

Privacy

The file is converted entirely in your browser using mammoth and jsPDF. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Word to PDF converter free?

Yes — free, no sign-up, no limits, runs in your browser.

Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?

No. This rebuilds the document's structure (headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, images) in a clean layout — it doesn't reproduce exact fonts, colors, or page setup from the original.

Does it support tables and images?

Yes — tables are drawn as gridded tables and images are embedded, scaled to fit the page.

What about bold or italic text?

Block-level formatting like headings and lists carries over, but inline formatting (bold/italic within a sentence) currently isn't preserved.

Is my document uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.
