About converting PNG to JPG
This converts PNG images to JPG entirely in your browser. PNG is a lossless format that keeps every pixel exactly and supports transparency, at the cost of larger files — ideal for graphics, screenshots and logos. JPG is the universal format for photographs, with small lossy files and no transparency. Converting a PNG to JPG is the go-to way to shrink a large screenshot or graphic for email or the web. The conversion runs on your device using the Canvas API, so your images are never uploaded.
How it works
Your PNG image is decoded and redrawn onto an HTML canvas, then re-encoded as JPG. Because JPG is a lossy format, a quality slider lets you balance file size against detail. The pixel dimensions are kept the same — only the format changes. JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent areas in the source become a solid background.
Good to know
JPG has no transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with a solid background, and the lossy compression can soften crisp text and lines.
Privacy
Conversion happens entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Your PNG images and the JPG result are never uploaded or stored. Re-encoding also strips any embedded metadata, such as camera info or GPS location.
