About the LinkedIn Banner Resizer

This fits any photo to the exact 1584 × 396 pixel size for a LinkedIn profile background banner. Posting an image at the right dimensions means LinkedIn shows it crisply and doesn't crop or squash it awkwardly. Drop in a picture, choose how it should fill the frame, and download a perfectly-sized image — all in your browser, nothing uploaded. Need a custom size instead of the exact LinkedIn dimensions? See Resize Image. Refreshing your other profiles too? See the Twitter/X Header Resizer.

How it works

Your image is drawn onto a 1584 × 396 canvas at the exact LinkedIn size. You choose the fit:

  • Cover — the image fills the whole frame and any overflow is cropped, so there are no borders.
  • Contain — the entire image fits inside the frame and the empty space is padded with a background colour you pick.

The result downloads as a PNG at exactly 1584 × 396 pixels.

Good to know

The output is a lossless PNG at the exact target size. If your source image is smaller than 1584 × 396, filling the frame means enlarging it, which can look soft — start from an image at least 1584 × 396 pixels for the sharpest result. Platform dimensions change from time to time, so check the current recommended size if it matters.

Privacy

Resizing happens entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded or stored.

常见问题

What size is a LinkedIn Banner?

The recommended size is 1584 × 396 pixels. This tool outputs exactly that.

Is it free?

Yes — 100% free, no sign-up, no watermark, and nothing uploaded.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing happens in your browser with the Canvas API, so your image never leaves your device.

What's the difference between Cover and Contain?

Cover fills the whole frame and crops the overflow (no borders). Contain fits the entire image inside the frame and pads the rest with your chosen background colour.

Why does my image look soft after resizing?

If the source is smaller than 1584 × 396, filling the frame enlarges it, which softens detail. Start from an image at least 1584 × 396 pixels for a crisp result.

What format do I get?

A PNG at exactly the target dimensions, ready to upload.
